Privacy Policy

Last updated: 1 October 2026

This policy explains how Swapcool LLC (“Swapcool”, “we”) handles personal data when you use swapcool.com and the Swapcool mobile app. If you have a question about your data, email [email protected].

  1. Who we are
    1. Swapcool LLC operates the Swapcool website and app, a free exchange where people earn points by engaging with other users’ public social profiles and spend those points to promote their own.
    2. For privacy questions and data requests, contact [email protected].
  2. Information we collect
    1. Account. Email address, a hashed password, currency, and account type. If you sign in with Google or Apple, we receive the email address and name that provider shares with us.
    2. Profile you choose to add. First name, last name, profile photo, country, and language.
    3. Content you submit. Public social profile and post links you add so other users can engage with them. We do not ask for your social media passwords.
    4. YouTube connection. If you connect YouTube, we store the Google account email, channel name, and subscriber count needed to confirm subscriptions.
    5. Activity. Points, exchanges you complete, referrals, and community ratings.
    6. Leaderboard. If you leave your profile visible, other users can see your name, avatar, and stats. Social links appear there only if you turn that option on. You can hide your profile in Settings.
    7. Sessions. IP address, browser or device information, and the time you sign in, so we can keep the account signed in and investigate abuse.
    8. Mobile app. A push notification token and the device platform, so we can send notifications you have allowed.
    9. Contact form. The name, email, and message you send us, plus location details derived from your IP address (country, region, city, postal code, and coordinates).
    10. Usage. Google Tag Manager may collect pages visited, device, and similar analytics data.
  3. How we use information
    1. To create and run your account, the points exchange, referrals, and the leaderboard according to your settings.
    2. To keep the service secure, detect fake accounts and abuse, and fix technical problems.
    3. To send messages you need to use Swapcool, such as email verification and password reset, and optional product emails you can turn off in Settings.
    4. To answer support requests.
    5. To understand how the website and app are used and to improve them.
  4. Legal bases
    1. We process account and exchange data to provide the service you asked for.
    2. We process security logs, abuse prevention, and basic analytics because they are needed to run a fair platform.
    3. Optional features, including a YouTube connection, leaderboard social links, and product emails, are used when you turn them on. You can turn them off in Settings.
  5. Cookies
    1. sc_login keeps you signed in. It lasts about 3 hours, or about 1 year if you choose to stay signed in.
    2. z_remember stores that stay-signed-in choice for about 1 year.
    3. lang stores your language for about 28 days.
    4. sc_referral stores a referral code for about 7 days after you open an invite link.
    5. Google Tag Manager may set its own analytics cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser. Blocking the sign-in cookie will sign you out.
  6. Who we share data with
    1. We do not sell personal data.
    2. Google, when you use Google sign-in, connect YouTube, or when Tag Manager measures site use.
    3. Apple, when you use Sign in with Apple.
    4. Cloudflare, which provides hosting security and may process your IP address.
    5. Our email provider, so we can send the messages described above.
    6. Firebase Cloud Messaging, so the mobile app can deliver push notifications.
    7. Other Swapcool users see only what your leaderboard settings allow.
  7. How long we keep data
    1. We keep account data while your account is open.
    2. You can close your account in Settings. Closing the account stops you from signing in. To ask us to delete the personal data we still hold, email [email protected].
    3. We may keep a limited record after that when we need it for security, fraud prevention, or a legal obligation.
  8. Your choices and rights
    1. In Settings you can update your profile, hide yourself on the leaderboard, manage emails, disconnect YouTube, and close your account.
    2. You can email [email protected] to access, correct, or delete your personal data, or to object to or restrict processing. We will respond in line with the privacy law that applies to you.
    3. If you are in the EEA or the United Kingdom, you can also complain to your local data protection authority.
    4. If you are in California, you can ask what personal information we collected and ask us to delete it. We do not sell personal information.
  9. Children
    1. Swapcool is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. If you believe a child has given us personal data, email [email protected] and we will delete it.
  10. International transfers
    1. We and our providers may process data in countries other than yours. Where the law requires it, we use appropriate safeguards for those transfers.
  11. Changes
    1. We may update this policy. The new version will be posted on this page with a new “Last updated” date.
